2015 AACE Late Breaking Abstract Submission Criteria for Acceptance

All primary authors of LATE BREAKING abstracts must be members of AACE, EMPLOYED BY AN AACE CAP MEMBER, OR SPONSORED BY AN AACE MEMBER!

Deadline:  Late Breaking Abstracts may be submitted online beginning February 23 – April 1, 2015, 11:59PM EST.

All accepted late breaking abstracts will be published in the online abstract supplement to Endocrine Practice.

Disclosures:  Authors are required to sign a disclaimer regarding funding of their research, where applicable.

Late Breaking Abstract Submission Guidelines

Late Breaking Abstracts must be original contributions of original research, clinical trials, case series or case reports and may not have been previously presented at any national U.S. meeting(s) (or published as a result of such a meeting) in the same format. 

Late Breaking Abstracts must be submitted online via the official abstract submission website at http://am.aace.com/call_for_abstracts. Emails and word processing files submitted outside the site will not be accepted.

Text Guidelines


Text:  Maximum number of characters set at 2,700, which does not include the title (Spaces are counted)

Graphics: Tables, images, and/or graphs SHOULD NOT be submitted online.  They may be included in the poster session.  More information on the poster session will be available on the AACE Annual Meeting website.


Late Breaking Abstracts will be scored numerically 1 through 10 and categorized accordingly:  accepted as is or rejected altogether.

Abstracts will be judged on their principal interest and application to the practicing clinical endocrinologist, as well as their creativity and uniqueness. 

A confirmation email will be sent to the Primary Author listed in the abstract submission, to confirm receipt of the abstract and to notify if the abstract was accepted. 

Primary authors, please keep your co-authors informed of any abstracts correspondence or changes to avoid misunderstanding or confusion with the process.


All accepted abstracts will be accepted for Poster Presentation.  Select abstracts will be selected for Oral Presentation.  Late Breaking Poster Presentations will take place on Saturday, May 16, at 9:45-11:00am.
